[General Description]

This standard specifies the MMT (MPEG Media Transport)-based transport scheme of video, audio and data in digital broadcasting.

MMT is the system which was standardized as ISO / IEC 23008-1 in ISO/IEC in March 2014, and it has a feature that it can be applied to media transmission in plural media channels including broadcasting and communication, etc.

This standard is enacted as an essential standard to broadcast based on national technical standards (Ordinance, Notification) which were prepared according to the report of Information and Communication Council “Technical conditions concerning satellite basic broadcasting and satellite general broadcasting among the technical conditions concerning super-high definition television broadcasting system” on 25. March 2014.
