[STD Number]ARIB STD-T71
[Standard Name]Broadband Mobile Access Communication System (CSMA)
[Enactment Date]2000/12/14
[Version] 6.2
[Revision Date]2018/7/26
[General Description]
Among the radio equipment performing radio access communications using “5 GHz Band Radio Access Systems” regulated in Article 6 paragraph 4 item 8 of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law or “Low-power Data Communication Systems” regulated in Article 6 paragraph 4 item 4 of the Regulations for Enforcement of the Radio Law, this ARIB Standard specifies radio equipment which uses, as multiple access method, ISO/IEC 8802-11:1999 standard-based CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) method.
This system consists of radio equipment and controlling equipment with interference prevention function, and transmits and receives signals to and from data terminal equipment.
Radio equipment in this Standard basically operates in infrastructure mode, by connecting with data terminal device, etc., or by connecting, via data conversion device, to telecommunication circuit facilities. It also operates in Ad-hoc mode and performs data exchange with other equipment, by replacing data conversion device with data terminal device, in allowed channels within 5,150 MHz ~ 5,250 MHz band of indoor Low-power Data Communications Systems.
