[General Description]

　This standard specifies the portable television broadcast program material transmission system (FPU: Field Pick-up Unit) that transmits compressed ultra-high definition television (4K/8K) signals and high-definition television (2K) signals by the OFDM method using microwave band radio waves.
　Toward the full-scale 4K/8K broadcasting services, the development of FPU for 4K/8K is indispensable to realize agile program production. So, following the millimeter-wave band FPU, this standard for microwave band FPU was formulated.
